    KAYDEN ALEXANDER KOSHELEV (Oliver Twist)

    Kayden is thrilled to be making his debut with 5-Star Theatricals! Kayden grew up in Chicago and has an array of TV, Film, Voiceover, Commercial and Musical Theatre credits. Most recently he played Brendan in Drag: the Musical, can be seen singing Hallelujah in Kevin Harts ‘Me Time’ on Netflix, and is part of Zack Snyder’s film Rebel Moon, premiering in December. Kayden thanks his amazing family, friends and incredible team for the years of support and love that allows him to live out his dreams.

    ALKAIO THIELE (The Artful Dodger)

    ALKAIO THIELE (The Artful Dodger) is an actor, singer, and voiceover artist from the San Francisco Bay Area who is so excited to join the 5-Star family! Favorite credits include Elf The Musical (Michael, Ogunquit Playhouse), films "I'll Be There" (Young AJ), "A Christmas Mystery" (Reggie), and "Ultra Red" (Victor), TV's "Call Me Kat" (Max Jr.), and animated series "The Wingfeather Saga" (Janner). Some of her favorite credits include: Cosette (Adult) in Les Miserables, Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda The Musical, Charlie Bucket in Willy Wonka, Kathy Selden in Singin' In The Rain, and Fletcher Blake in Freaky Friday.     ALEX BOLING (Mr. Sowerberry / Ensemble)

    Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Alex has a BA in psychology from Yale University. He has had recurring guest star roles on SUBURGATORY, SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER, LAS VEGAS and WILL & GRACE, as well as guest stars and co-stars in almost every genre of episodic television. He has also appeared in many movies, national commercials, VO spots, and in musical theater & cabaret across the US & Norway. He loves encouraging people as an acting coach and as a volunteer leader in the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles and SGI-USA, a lay Buddhist group for peace, culture, and education.     Troy is an LA native who enjoys long walks on the beach, a nice Irish mule, and the simple pleasures of playing with all the doggies. He began singing and writing music at the age of 5 and in 2016 he earned his BA in Drama from UC Irvine. Favorite performed roles include: The Beast (Beauty and the Beast), The Baker (Into the Woods), Rooster (Annie), Billy Crocker (Anything Goes).     Randi De Marco (she/her) is thrilled to make her debut at 5-Star Theatricals with the company of Oliver! As a VO artist, she can be heard as Twist Queen in Lol Surprise! Winter Fashion Show on Netflix. An experienced comedic performer, Randi performs monthly at the Upright Citizens Brigade theatre with the musical sketch group Quick and Funny Musicals, which has garnered attention for their new short musical, A Picket Line. Randi is a proud Story Pirate.

    Christopher James Hester is thrilled to make his 5-Star Theatricals debut! Recent credits include Omar (LA opera), Carmen Jones (Santa Barbara Ensemble Theater), Disneys “Philly Phonics” (Disneyland Resort), Sound of Music (La Mirada Theater), Polar Express (Perris CA), and solo performances at “Broadway at the Bourbon room”. Hester also is featured in music videos (Friday) and National commercials (Torrid). In addition to entertainment, Hester holds a masters degree from Boston Conservatory in vocal pedagogy and maintains a private voice studio in the Los Angeles area.

    K.J. Rasheed began his acting career in Pittsburgh, PA at the age of 16, with the Carnegie-Mellon University “Action Players” as Hayward Patterson in Martin Duberman’s “In White America” in 1970. In a career in Television, Film and Theater that has spanned four decades, K.J. has performed with renown theatre troupes across the nation including NYMB Productions, “Godspell” (Lamar) 2023, The Lineage Performing Arts, “Pippin” (Charles) 2019, The Palos Verdes Performing Arts, “Music Man”, (Rock Island Salesman/Ensemble) 2016, Cornerstone Theatre "Bliss Point” (Wiley Post) 2015 and “Magic Fruit” (Leri) 2017, Kuntu Repertory Theatre, "Reachings" (Lee Meredith) 1988, The Williamsburg Players "Roar of the Greasepaint---Smell of the Crowd" (*Cocky) 1976, The National (Everyman’s) Street Theatre Tour "Singin' and Shoutin'" (Cain) at The Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts Summer Festival, 1978.     Analía Romero (she/her) is very excited to make her 5 Theatricals debut. She has had the honor of playing Doc in Teatro San Diego's production of West Side Story, La Catrina and La Mariposa in La Lucha, LJPH 2023. Abuela Claudia In The Heights SDMT. The Beggar Woman in Sweeny Todd, CSULA. Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown, and Fruma Sara in Fiddler on the Roof. She has sung with the San Diego Opera, SACRA/PROFANA, various mariachi groups, and La Jolla Symphony Chorus. Analìa holds an M.M. in Afro-Latin music from Cal State L.A. B.A. in Music and minored in Arts and Cultural Management at Northern Arizona University. She would like to thank her husband Ruben, her son Aaron and loving family for their constant guidance. Recently, Oliver was seen as Pugsley Addams in The Addams Family in Sacramento (Broadway Music Circus) and as a Royal Child in the King and I (MRE/La Mirada Theatre). While he loves being on stage performing, he also likes gaming, skateboarding, and drawing during his off times.   • Malia Johnson as Youth Ensemble Member

    MALIA JOHNSON (Youth Ensemble)

    Malia is thrilled to be a part of the 5-star theatrical production of Oliver. She has performed in musical theater and danced since she was 5. Malia is an invited soloist for concerts with the Moorpark Symphony Orchestra and sings in the 5-Star Starlight’s Kids Choir. She played Young Nala in Lion King Jr. (HSAC), and she is playing Matilda, in Matilda the Musical Jr., she was in Shrek the Musical Jr., and Seussical the Musical Jr. Malia enjoys singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” with her sister at community events, playing soccer, loves animals, and spending time with her loved ones.

  • Charley Rowan McCain as Youth Ensemble Member

    CHARLEY ROWAN MCCAIN (Youth Ensemble)

    Charley Rowan McCain is thrilled to be making her 5-Star debut in OLIVER! She is 10 years old and in 5th grade at Will Rogers in Santa Monica. Recent stage credits include playing Matilda in Matilda the Musical at The Morgan-Wixson Theatre where she also performed in Charlotte’s Web, Bedtime Stories, and Frozen, Jr. She also works in commercials, TV, and film and was recently on “NCIS”, “S.W.A.T”, “Erin & Aaron” and is in A24’s upcoming film, “MaXXXine”. Most recently, Darby performed a 6-week run as Tim in Moose On The Loose at Theater West, as well as guest-starring on the Nickelodeon show, “The Really Loud House” and “Spidey and His Amazing Friends”. Some of his favorite roles include: Pugsley in The Addams Family, Les in Newsies and Brandon in Legally Blonde. Darby is thrilled to “consider himself” part of this incredible cast.

    Michael Zampino (Ensemble) Michael is excited to make his 5-Star Theatricals debut in OLIVER! His credits include Sebastian in THE LITTLE MERMAID and Fritz in THE NUTCRACKER. Michael is an award-winning competitive dancer and a member of Exceleration Studios Company. His film credits include DUCK and UNIQUE BEAUTY. When he's not performing, Michael's other passion is basketball. He's a die-hard Philadelphia 76ers fan! Michael would like to thank his family and friends for all their love and support.

    KARI HAYTER (Director)

    Kari Hayter is a professional director and educator based in Southern California. She has directed for South Coast Repertory, McCoy/Rigby Entertainment, 3D Theatricals, CCAE Theatricals, Musical Theatre West, The Chance Theatre, International City Theatre, and the Valley Performing Arts Center. As an educator she has taught and/or directed at USC, Chapman University, AMDA/Los Angeles, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Cal State Long Beach, Citrus College, Saddleback College and Riverside Community College. Kari was nominated for the 28th Annual LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award Best Direction of a Musical for both Parade at the Chance Theatre and Urinetown, The Musical for Coeurage Theatre Company. She was also nominated for the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for theatrical excellence in 2016 for Direction of Urinetown the Musical. Kari most recently directed Grease (McCoy Rigby Entertainment), A Light in the Piazza (The California Center for the Arts, San Diego Critics Circle Best Director Nomination), Marry Me a Little and Tick Tick Boom (ICT) and Striking 12 (Chance Theatre/Best Direction Nomination, OC Theatre Guild).

    Christopher M. Albrecht has a B.A. in Dance from UCLA, and graduated with honors in Dance Composition. He's spent the last 15 years as a Teaching Artist and Choreographer specializing in Musical Theater Dance. Favorite credits include: GREASE with La Mirada/McCoy Rigby; Urinetown with the Coeurage Theater Company; Rock of Ages with Summer Repertory Theater; Hairspray and EVITA with PVPA/Norris Theater, West Side Story with TACFA’s Broadway in the Park; Cabaret at CSULB; FOLLIES at Cypress College; Hairspray / Drowsy Chaperone / Sister Act with Torrance Theater Company; and She Loves Me and Hairspray with the Chance Theater.

    Anthony Lucca is an award winning music director, orchestrator, and arranger, who develops and music directs new works for theatre and film. World premieres include BRONCO BILLY (Skylight Theatre Company, LA Drama Critic's Circle Award for Best Musical Direction), MUTT HOUSE (Kirk Douglas Theater), CULT OF LOVE (IAMA Theatre Company), INTO LIGHT (short-film), and workshop productions of new musical theatre in Los Angeles and New York City. He recently music directed CINDERELLA (5-Star Theatricals).
